About UsWith $200 and the support of her father, Lonnie Jones, Marilyn Jones incorporated UVA in Houston, TX as an adult substance abuse treatment program. One year later, on Feb. 4, 1997, the 1st client walked in at UVA Houston.
UVA expanded its program to youth, criminal justice, and CPS clients and opened a new location in Baytown, TX. UVA serviced over 80 clients per month and became a United Way of Baytown funded agency.
On August 15th, UVA opened its doors to a new youth residential treatment center in Pasadena, TX. UVA operates a 45-bed facility with secondary school classes available to assist youth ages 12-17 with treatment and educational services.
UVA is now a $3 million nonprofit corporation serving hundreds of clients in 3 locations each year, as well as offering services in local school districts, and mobile centers throughout the Houston, Baytown, and Pasadena areas. Most recently, UVA has launched a transitional living house for women.
Unlimited Visions Aftercare operates locations 12 hours a day, six days per week. Outpatient services are available Monday-Thursday 9:00am to 9:00pm, Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm. (Our hours of services for the adolescent program differ). Unlimited Visions Aftercare has been providing substance abuse treatment services for 14 years. We serve an average of 1,500 outpatient clients per year. UVA currently receives funding from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Harris County, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Federal Probation, Child Care Council, and self-pay. We also receive funding from United Way of Baytown. |
