Co-Occurring Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Disorders (COPSD) Program 
UVA received a grant from TDHS in 2010 to provide adjunct services to clients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders (COPSD), emphasizing integrated treatment where both disorders are seen as primary, in existing mental health and substance abuse treatment services.
Eligibility requirements:
- Ages 13-17
- Substance abuse diagnosis
- mental health diagnosis

- Information about mental health disorders
- Referrals
It is UVA’s goal to help stabilize our clients to enable them to remain in treatment and successfully complete our programs.
UVA strives to educate our clients and their families on co-occurring disorders and how to achieve recovery and maintain abstinence once they leave treatment.
